Our 2600 sq ft house sits upon a 1 acre wooded lot with ample parking on the paved driveway. Additional off road parking for additional cars or trailers is located at the top of the driveway. The back of the house (lake side) is fully fenced in (except for the lake edge).

The Kitchen and Great Room Areas

As you enter the front door you will enter the open concept Kitchen that extends into the Great Room.

The Kitchen is fully stocked with just about everything the cook will need. It is a personal pet peeve of mine to rent a vacation property and have barely enough dishes to accommodate us.  Although the cooking equipment is not top of the line you will struggle to not find what you need to make a meal for a large group. We have large pots, pans, cookie sheets and so much more. See the list below.

The kitchen includes (but not guaranteed)

  • 12 cup Coffee maker
  • Toaster oven
  • Blender
  • can opener
  • Lg crock pot
  • tea kettle
  • lg and small skillets
  • lg and small pots
  • broiler pans
  • waffle iron
  • AMPLE plates, bowls, cups, coffee cups, wine glasses, flatware, serving bowls and utensils, cutlery, cutting boards…seriously I can’t imagine you will be disappointed (unless you are a top rated chef!)
  • There are lots of spices, often oil, sugar and other staples for cooking.
  • Dish towels
  • dish and dishwasher soap
  • and so much more!

The eat in kitchen table seats 6-10 people comfortably depending how many leaves are installed (check bedroom closets for the additional extension leaves). There is an additional 4 or 5 eating spaces at the counter bar area.

With an abundance of seating the Great Room is a favorite gathering spot when the day is just getting started or winding down.

The entertainment center has a 52 inch flat screen tv, dvd player, receiver and compact disc player. We also supply you with Dish Satellite channels. In the built in entertainment cabinet you will find a selection of games for all ages and some books for your reading pleasure (please feel free to swap out books if you finish one during your stay and you want to read one of ours). We also have a well stocked video/dvd library.

The great room and kitchen have vaulted ceilings with lots of glass on each end so you can soak in the bright days while inside. Just out the sliding back doors is a deck overlooking the lake. The deck has several chairs for enjoying your morning cup of coffee or your evening beer/wine while the grill master grills your steak on the gas grill (propane is provided). Off to the left of the deck is a screened in porch with a large table that seats 10-12 people. You can access the screen porch through the great room, deck and the master bedroom. The screened porch also has a ceiling fan to help add a little breeze on those hot summer days.

The Bedrooms

We have a total of 6 bedrooms (3 on each floor).

Master Bedroom (king bed)

The master bedroom is to the left of the kitchen and great room. It is tastefully decorated and contains a beautiful 5 piece matching bedroom set. The king size bed will be a blessing at the end of your sun filled day on the water.  The master bedroom has a sliding door that enters into the screen porch and over looking the lake.

As you enter the on suite bathroom you will have a sink with a large vanity to your right and a large walk in closet to your left. As you continue straight you will enter a separate room with the toilet and large shower with 2 massaging shower heads.

Bedroom 2 (Queen Bed)

This room is almost as nice as the master bedroom. It is on the opposite side of the house from the master bedroom. It is nicely decorated with matching furniture and over looks the lake with it own sliding door to the deck. It is just a few steps from the shared hall bathroom equipped with a full tub and shower.

Bedroom 3 (2 sets of bunk beds– bed 1: full on bottom/twin on top; bed 2: twin on top and bottom)

This is a great room for families or for a group of friends that want to stay together . This room is on the other side of the shared bathroom from bedroom 2 and is facing the front side of the house.

Let’s head to the basement level now

The basement is laid out very similar to the upstairs level. When you come down the stairs you will enter the Rec room which extends down the middle of the house with the bedrooms on either side.

The rec room has a full size pool table that can be transformed into a ping pong table.  As you head toward the sliding glass doors, that exit out to the lake side of the house, you will have a seating area with a sofa and a love seat facing another TV as well as the wood stove. The wood stove is a great addition that was designed with a vent in the great room to assist in heating the upper level of the house.

On the left side of the room is the utility room that contains the washer and dryer as well as the Hvac, hot water heater, circuit breaker and whole house filtration system.

Bedroom 4 (queen bed)

This room is simply decorated and has a very comfortable memory foam mattress. This room is directly below the Master bedroom. With the lake facing windows you will be excited to get out of bed to see the morning view.

Bedroom 5 (King bed)

Across the rec room is this King room with it bright and tastefully decor. It also has 2 of the 3 windows facing the lake.  It is directly adjacent to the shared full bathroom.

Bedroom 6 (2 sets of bunk beds- each are with full on the bottom and twin on top)

This is the bedroom that you want if you want a dark room. Although it does not have any windows it was always a favorite room for the kids when they were little. My kids named it the dungeon because of it being so dark. When they were little they always fought over which group of friends would get this room.  I can remember countless times they built blanket tents and told ghost stories…many great memories were had in this room!
